When a drain backs up, a pipe bursts, the roof leaks, or there is a flood in your home, be sure to get it taken care of as soon as possible so that secondary damage from mold growth does not present a health risk.

Another thing to consider is the pollution level if the water. There are 3 categories:

1. Water from a clean water source like a freshwater line for a washing machine.
2. Water that may cause illness because it has bacteria or other pollutants.
3. Water that is very contaminated such as sewage backup, overflowing toilet, or flood waters from a big storm.
